Challenge

The old ESO website suffered from an outdated look, poor information architecture, inconsistent layouts, and a cluttered user interface. Information was hard to find, and excessive content made navigation difficult.

Approach

Conducted complex industry research and analyzed current data to inform improvements in information architecture, data visualization, and layout structures.
Mapped and optimized user flows, including interactions with SaaS subsystems and potential user journeys.
Designed interactive prototypes using atoms, symbols, and auto-layout to streamline work and make prototypes more engaging.
Implemented DesignOps processes and a design system framework based on the IBM Carbon Design System, ensuring a consistent, holistic, and branded experience for all touchpoints.

Why Carbon?

Carbon supports every member of a cross-functional team—designers, developers, marketers, and product managers—ensuring every stage of the user journey feels part of a unified experience. Leveraging Carbon principles allowed me to create a robust and scalable design foundation.
